Father, glorify your name. “Then a voice came from heaven: “I have glorified it, and I will glorify it again.” John 12:28
I prayed last week for the many continued needs of personal health to improve so I can return to my old life. I became convicted that God may have another desire for my life. I thought, “What if God needed me broken to glorify Him?”
Soon I found myself praying, “Lord, it isn’t what I want personally, but if I need me broken physically to serve your glory, then Lord, so be your will.”
I had much more of a desire to go through a few bad years on earth so that I could give Jesus more glory in my living. I realize that this prayer has genuine implications.
This prayer is no prayer to take lightly.
Yet it is the very prayer God seeks us to commit to daily. To deny self daily and take up the cross and follow Him!
