Psalm 33:20 (ESV) … “Our soul waits for the Lord; he is our help and our shield.”
Waiting seems to be the age long lot of God’s people. It often seems as though our prayers go unanswered, that God takes a long time to act. But help is on the way! God works to His own mysterious timetable. He has not forgotten us, we can be sure of that. His interference in history, when He sent His Son to redeem, was right on time. We can see that quite clearly now as we look back over the Old Testament Scriptures. His interference in history when He sends back His son to reign will also be right on time. Help is on the way! Often, even in the scaled-down affairs of our little lives, it comes in the nick of time.[1]
