Every Day A Day To Praise

Psalm 145:2 (ESV) … “Every day I will bless you and praise your name forever and ever.”

In life, there are times in which it is easy to praise the Lord. Yesterday around 6:30 pm was for me one of those times. It was then that officially became a granddaddy. At that time, our sweet little granddaughter entered into this world. She and mommy were doing good after a long birthing process, and our entire family was in “praising God mode.”

In heaven, we shall praise the Lord forever and forever, but now is the time to get prepared as we praise God from day-to-day. No matter how dark and difficult the day may be, there is always something for which we can praise the Lord, not just the great days like yesterday.

There is always something, no matter how small or seemingly insignificant in which we can praise God. There is never a situation so bad or awful that does not hold a moment of praise unto the Lord. Our Lord is GOOD! He is always GOOD - even if it is only that the situation is not always this bad!

Our universe operates a day at a time as the heavenly bodies move in orbit around the sun, and we are foolish to try to live two days at a time. “As your days, so shall your strength be” (Deut. 33:25, nkjv), and some of that strength comes from praising and thanking the Lord.

Did you see that? Strength comes from praise! Whatever your day may be, good or bad, gain strength for today in praising God. Join with the Psalmist and say, “Every day I will bless you (GOD) and praise YOUR name forever and ever.”
